Breathe Easy with the #DysonHumidifier
Disclosure : We received the Dyson Humidifier for review purposes but, as always, opinions are TOTALLY ours.
We’ve had a humidifier at home ever since Little Monkey was born five years ago as our condo gets very dry in the winter and ever since, we’ve all seen the downside of NOT using a humidifier. However, until the Dyson Humidifier walked into our home, we didn’t know what we were missing! Daily water changes, monthly filter changes and the inability to automatically control the humidity levels are all a thing of the past.
The Dyson Humidifier is sleek and super quiet but most of all, it kills 99.9% of bacteria!! In the past we knew we were a breeding zone for bacteria but our need for moisture was more important so we ignored the bacteria and did our best to change the filters (which were coated in fungus) monthly. In true Dyson form, the engineers figured out a way to create a comfortable, hygienic home environment and so now parents can take comfort in knowing that the entire family is breathing clean air. The device uses Ultraviolet Cleanse technology to kill 99.9% of bacteria in the water and project clean, hydrated air evenly and quietly. With Intelligent Climate Control, it measures both the temperature and moisture in the air to create a comfortable environment and with the auto setting in place, we haven’t had to do much. The hubs is shocked that I haven’t asked him to refill the water after a a whole week of using it! Our air isn’t as dry yet and I’m curious to see how it performs in the winter but I’ve been told that we can get 18 hours of use before we’d have to refill the water. We’ve had it on the auto setting for the most part but we could also program it to shutoff when we want it to and if you forget to turn it off during your travels, you can rest easy knowing that the Humidifier shuts off automatically after 18 hours of straight use.
Those who suffer from allergies will be thrilled to learn that the Dyson Humidifier has been certified asthma and allergy friendly by the Asthma Society of Canada and it’s also a PTPA approved product! Parents have tested and approved it so you know it REALLY works! I’ve advised many condo dwelling parents to plop in a humidifier in their kid’s room because the benefits are immense. Dry air makes it difficult for little ones to sleep well and also causes many skin irritations which lead to other problems. With flu season around the corner, a humidifier could be your best friend! I’ve also been told that a humidifier can help with snoring, so we may just need to get another one for our bedroom!
If you’d like to play with the Dyson Humidifier yourself and live in Toronto, you’re in luck! To introduce this newest technology to Torontonians and their families, Dyson will be attending The BabyTime Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from November 11 to 13. The BabyTime show is a forum for families and parents-to-be to discover the latest and greatest in baby products and services, hear from parenting experts and enjoy toddler entertainment. I know I loved the show when I visited with the then less than one month old Little Monkey! This year, we are very excited to be able to offer a chance to win a set of two tickets to the BabyTime Show. If you have a toddler, they’ll be happy to know that Bob the Builder will be in attendance!

The Dyson humidifier looks great! And it’s got such great features, like how it gets rid of 99%of germs!

It does looks fab indeed! It gets rid of the bacteria that usually inhabits the water logged areas in filters. Just wanted to point out that it’s not an air purifier per se. Check out the Pure Cool Link for that one!
