Here’s version 2.0 of our top 10 Toronto dining spots with a toddler. We dine out a lot but we can barely put a dent into our Eating out in Toronto hit list. So needless to say, we have plenty of spots to add to this list. Since the last update we now have a toddler and a newborn so we’re even pickier on where we dine. Innovative and authentic cuisine with good drinks in a relaxed, baby friendly atmosphere is what we seek. I can get by without a high chair or change table but when they are on offer, we appreciate them greatly. The list is no particular order. Click through the restaurant names to get a full review.
i appreciate the several cafes we have in town that have an area with toys for kids to play, it really helps when my little ones are too squirmy to sit for very long
When I came across this post my mouth dropped. With a newborn and a 22 month old my husband and I have been wanting to bring the girls out for a nice outing. Thanks for the list Yashy.
You can definitely do it Ashley! I find that taking them out from week 1 helped us teach them how to behave and act at restos. We’ve had mishaps of course!
Some great suggestions here! I Miss all the great food in the city….we’re planning a road trip in a couple weeks, and I’d love to stop in at La Carnita!
I just love it when there are recommendations like this. As a stranger in town how else will you know what’s a great place to eat at, so thanks a bunch for sharing with us 🙂

There’s a new La Carnita at King and John and that’s got way more space so there’s hardly a line up!!

Thanks for the list. Unless we get baby sitting, hard to go for a 2 hour meal now at nice spots with kids.

This is great! We love Jawny Bakers (O’Connor & St. Clair) as they’re great with kids but it doesn’t feel like a “kid” restaurant.

Oh I must check them out!
