On May 8th one of my favourite event spaces, The Berkeley Church, will host the North American Craft Beer Experience and we’ve got a pair of tickets for one lucky winner! NAC (North American Craft) is a Beer Agency that supports local, craft and Out of Province Independent Breweries. I’ve been told that we can expect to see a range of North American breweries represented at the event. You know the hubs is excited about this!

 

If this events sounds familiar to you, you’re probably thinking of the Beer Experience events we’ve shared during previous years. The team behind those events are behind this one as well and so I KNOW that it will be a well run event with very reasonably priced drink samples ( $1 for 4oz sample) and no crazy line ups. Unlike previous events this one is actually on a Friday night so I expect a bit of a larger crowd than usual especially given the 6 to 11 p.m. time limit. My advice would be to get there early.

 

As per previous events I expect a wide range of beers to be on offer and some great tunes as well (A portion of all ticket sales from this event goes directly to the Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund). The food has been improving with each year so I’m excited to see what the culinary team at the Berkeley Church comes up with! The beers on offer are being leaked leading up to the event and I am curious to sample Wellington Brewery’s Red Sky At Night, a wine barrel aged Imperial Russian Stout!!  They will also be bringing a ‘Sleet Wheat Wine’- a Wine Barrel-Aged Wheat Wine and a Yuletide Barley Wine. In addition, Smuttynose Brewing Co., Bard’s Beer and Double Trouble Brewing will also be attendance.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door…I’d swing by here to purchase tickets if you plan to attend (unless of course you win a pair from us!). This is a 19+ event so we’ve got the babysitters booked!
