that is amazing. thank you for the directory. both my girls love music but especially my oldest. she is autistic and it is a great way for her to express herself and she is more verbal when it comes to singing songs and dancing to music then anything else 🙂

I’m glad you found this helpful! The Royal Conservatory has some great tips and resources for parents like me who didn’t know where to start or what to ask.

Great tips for finding a qualified teacher! I also was forced to take piano lessons but my mom let me quit. As an adult now,I wish she hadn’t! I would live my son learn how to play the violin, but all he wants todo is dance! 🙂

Thank you so much!!! my son is four and hums at every song possible and he loves to make up his own lyrics when he wants something.
Piano is a bit too early now so i registered him for children’s choir.
This is awesome cause when he gets older he’ll need piano lessons and now i know where to find ones close to my house!

Great tips. I used the local universities for referrals and was lucky to find teachers at all levels for my boys. My younger boy loves music, but never took to playing an instrument beyond the basics. My older boy has become quite proficient with both the Violin and Viola; he truly has a passion for it.
