About Me Born in Sri Lanka raised in Dubai, Bahrain, Pakistan, U.S, Australia and England, I now find myself settled in Toronto. Passions include wine, dining out, cooking, cocktailing, travelling, hunting for random fun events in the city and now… exploring all things baby related. With two kids under the age of three we continue to explore everything that fascinates us! Our goal is to encourage young families to maintain the pre baby life, post baby. Having dined out and traveled to over 33 cities in 8 countries since the first baby was born years ago, we encourage you to travel and enjoy the culinary offerings in your own city!

Fashion Friday | Easter Bunny Nightie

Fashion Friday | Easter Bunny Nightie You may recall that a couple Fashion Fridays ago I shared the toddler’s Christmas nightie… well guess what? She has been asking for it every night since December! Of course we wash it each time since the Little Monkey lives in it the next day, refusing to take it off. The Mom in love has sent her a new wardrobe, including a whole bunch of new night gowns…so we’re wishing you a very Happy Easter! If you...

A Lazy Day at the Santa Monica Pier #MurphysDoLA

A Lazy Day at the Santa Monica Pier #MurphysDoLA For many, a holiday entails relaxing by a pool and doing absolutely nothing, but we lean towards busy city escapes even during our travels. Of course we mix in a few local road trips to relaxing towns and villages but definitely city tourists for the most part. For this #IGTravelThursday I wanted to share one of our very lazy days walking by Santa Monica Pier. We were staying with friends in Santa Monica so with three tots in tow five...

Earth Month Exploration

Earth Month Exploration This month our Netflix challenge was to reflect, appreciate and educate ourselves on all that the planet offers. As many of you may have figured out by now, this isn’t something I do on a regular basis. Of course we celebrated respected earth hour by hanging out with our friends (something we do each year). This year our wine club coincided with Earth Hour and so we enjoyed a candle-lit exploration of some fine aged...

Eating out with baby | Bier Markt Esplanade

Eating out with baby | Bier Markt Esplanade As beer bier lovers we’ve been to Bier Markt on many occasions but a few weeks ago the kids were invited over for their very first experience. I personally like Bier Markt because of the casual atmosphere and the sophisticated settings and  I prefer the Esplanade location for a family visit because there’s more space and different seating options depending on your mood. It’s a cool but relaxed spot. This time we sat...

Sip & Sizzle! Niagara-on-the-Lake Wine Tour #giveaway Spring is here! You know how I know? One of my favourite wine tours is back! It’s time for me to share all about Sip & Sizzle and we’ve got a giveaway! Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries host a food and wine pairing tour each May that is by far my favourite of all the wine events we attend. If you’ve been following our journey you’ve read about our many Wine & Herb trips and this year the folks behind the...

Fashion Friday | Toddler Play

Fashion Friday | Toddler Play With the weather finally coming around we’ve been trying our best to get outdoors as much as possible. Last weekend we snuck out with Baby Boy and Little Monkey for a quick joyride around our neighbourhood. We’re trying to wean Little Monkey off the stroller and so there’s been lots of biking and walking happening here! We’re ready for spring and the layering has begun…you’ll notice that some of...

San Luis Obispo with Baby #MurphysDoLA

San Luis Obispo with Baby #MurphysDoLA Full credit goes to my brother for bringing San Luis Obispo (or as he and the rest of his crew calls it – SLO) to my attention. A few weeks before we headed to Los Angeles he asked me if we’d like to do a quick two day trip to SLO to visit a friend. This had me going “Where’s that and what’s there to do?” He told me it was wine county and I said “sign us up!”. So the story goes on why we...
