About Me Born in Sri Lanka raised in Dubai, Bahrain, Pakistan, U.S, Australia and England, I now find myself settled in Toronto. Passions include wine, dining out, cooking, cocktailing, travelling, hunting for random fun events in the city and now… exploring all things baby related. With two kids under the age of three we continue to explore everything that fascinates us! Our goal is to encourage young families to maintain the pre baby life, post baby. Having dined out and traveled to over 33 cities in 8 countries since the first baby was born years ago, we encourage you to travel and enjoy the culinary offerings in your own city!

Date Night | Crazy For You in Stratford

Date Night | Crazy For You in Stratford Crazy For You. Yup that sums this past weekend when the hubs and I sneaked away to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary in Stratford, Ontario. Two days away from the kids and our very first time doing so! We had a blast, as did the kids with my parents! Stratford is a true cultural hub and we knew that this was our chance to experience theatre and music like never before (since having kids) and were delighted when we were invited to...

Fashion Friday | Taste of Toronto

Fashion Friday | Taste of Toronto Last evening the hubs and I took Baby Boy to check out Taste of Toronto which goes on all weekend long. This family friendly event is definitely a good one to take little ones to as there’s plenty of grass for little ones to run around and to ‘picnic’ at. Hosted at Fort York, the space was stroller friendly yesterday as it wasn’t overly busy but as with any big event baby wearing may be the best option. Line ups...

Old Orchard Inn, Wolfville #MurphysDoNS

Old Orchard Inn, Wolfville #MurphysDoNS We’re still sharing our Nova Scotia tales and as I mentioned on Tuesday’s post, we loved our stay in  the Wolfville area. Our stay at the Old Orchard Inn with a toddler and baby was filled with relaxing views and the central location for our exploration could not be beat. This family owned and operated hotel and spa has been in business for over 40 years and you can definitely experience the East Coast charm and...

Toddlers and Candy #REALFRUIT Giveaway

Toddlers and Candy #REALFRUIT Giveaway So yea I know… toddlers shouldn’t be given candy but candy is all the rage at our place recently and we have a #REALFRUIT giveaway for one of you. Candy is the only way I can really get Little Monkey to eat her dinner and rewarding someone for eating may not be the best option, but it’s what works for us. Even something as going to the supermarket involves a candy in hand and that my friends is how I manage to keep...

Eating out with Baby | Le Caveau #MurphysDoNS

Eating out with Baby | Le Caveau #MurphysDoNS During our two night stay in Wolfville when we were on the #MurphysDoNS roadtrip we explored the Annapolis wine region very briefly and ended up at the Le Domaine de Grand Pré‘s restaurant for lunch. We spent a very picturesque afternoon with Baby Boy and Little Monkey at Le Caveau, in the heart of the Annapolis Valley. This place has been named one of the top winery restaurants in the world and with good reason we found...

Scavenger Hunt with ESKA Water #eskaquest

Scavenger Hunt with ESKA Water #eskaquest Last week I explored Toronto with my parents and the kids in tow thanks to a scavenger hunt put on by ESKA Water. Throughout the month of July, ESKA Water is inviting Torontonians to join the quest and head downtown for a day of exploration as you try to find 10 hidden #eskaquest tiles. As you may have guessed, this sounds like exactly the type of challenge that we’d love and what I thought would be a fifteen minute walk...

Fashion Friday | Picnic Wear

Fashion Friday | Picnic Wear This week I took Baby Boy and Little Monkey to check out the Kids’ CBC Day activities and even popped by a Very Important Picnic ( I know..what? Yes I went alone with the kids). Little Monkey is living proof that TV isn’t a bad thing for kids as I credit the TV programs for her knowledge of the alphabet and her expansive vocabulary so I was curious to see what the folks over at CBC were up to. At the picnic we found out...
